Users will no longer have to run multiple reports from their business systems, download them to Excel, and to then manipulate and consolidate the data, to get the data they need to then finally allow them to carry out the analysis they need to undertake.
All of this costs time, money but possibly more importantly accuracy. Any manual manipulation of data may result in errors that may not be seen, and thus result in skewed or inaccurate data being used to drive key business decisions.
Some of the datasets have added functionality within them to enable users to identify key insights and metrics directly form the core data. Algorithms have been included to identify certain records that adhere to a given criteria, such as a warning flag where Purchase Orders have been raised after the invoice Date highlighting a process governance issue.
This increases the value of the reports and the data therein by helping users to readily identify key actionable insights directly, rather than relying on any individual interpretation of the data.
